Choose sheet properties

Choose the sheet type, colour or structure and thickness. Only available combinations can be selected.

Sheet type

Sheet colour and structure

All sheets transmit light. Coloured sheets transmit less light; the X structure increases rigidity. Grey and shading sheets also reduce strong sunlight.

Sheet thickness

Sheets from 4 to 8 mm are commonly used for greenhouses and cold frames. For canopies, 10 or 16 mm is a common choice. Sheets of 20, 25 and 32 mm can offer greater rigidity and thermal insulation. Permitted support spacing and loads also depend on the sheet structure.

Choose sheet length

Sheet length is the distance from the ridge to the eaves in the direction of the roof slope (see diagram).

Choose the material of your supporting structure (timber or metal) so we can select suitable screws.

Choose joining profiles

Choose between lower-cost polycarbonate profiles and higher-quality, longer-lasting aluminium profiles.

Fixings and accessories

Based on your selection, we have prepared a suggested list of fixings and accessories.

The quantities of screws, profiles, seals and other fixings are calculated from the area, number of sheets and selected profile type.
