Polycarbonate panels are extremely tough and durable. Their excellent properties such as low weight, impact and weather resistance, excellent UV protection to protect the panel against ageing and thermal insulation make them perfect for a range of applications. Panels with thicknesses of 4, 4.5, 6, 8 and 10 mm are most commonly used for greenhouses and greenhouses. For carports, patio covers and other buildings, 10 or 16 mm are most common. Where there is a requirement for higher snow or wind loads, thicker panels such as 20, 25 and 32 mm can also be used. They can also be found as infills for windows, balcony railings, billboards and the like. Polycarbonate is a highly combustible material, making it indispensable in construction and wherever fire safety is required.
