Product description

Acrylic/Plexiglas is often used as a replacement for ordinary glass. It is half the weight and strength of glass. The panels are characterised by excellent light transmission, UV resistance and ease of processing. Acrylic panels vary according to the way they are manufactured. The XT designation stands for extruded acrylic panels. These have lower tolerances in thickness compared to cast acrylics, but also higher stresses in the panel, which can cause small cracks in more demanding applications. CN stands for cast perspex. Cast acrylic glass is considered to be more resistant to chemicals and solvents, less prone to scratches, easier to handle and more tough compared to extruded glass.
