Product description

ISO 179-1 defines the method for determining the impact strength of plastics using the Charpy impact test. The impact toughness test is performed under specific conditions, and the procedure is established in both the US and Europe. The measure used to express the toughness of a material is the amount of energy required to break a plate with an impact. The Charpy standard for High Impact 610 acrylic without a notch is 60 kJ/m2 , and with a notch it is 5 kJ/m2 . High impact 610 plexiglass with a Charpy value of 60 kJ/m² has approximately half the impact resistance of high impact 620.
